Batting for the Cure - Susan G Komen for the Cure

Batting for the cure with Susan G Komen for the Cure Saturday August 22nd 2009.

We had quite a day. The Dodgers won the game against the Cubs.

After the game, everybody from the event went down onto the field for Batting Practice.

Photo Brilliant took portraits by the fence and printed them for the donors and guests.

Then Batting Practice began. Jeremy took pictures with a 70 to 200mm EF lens. We got some good shots and even captured a few HD Videos with the Canon 5D Mark II.

We're hoping the guests will buy a few extra prints and videos from our gallery - which you can check out too.

HERE'S THE VIDEO

Here is the small Photo-Fusion that we made for Rebecca and John at the Bridal Shower. The full HD version is available through this link - http://brillianteventphotography.smugmug.com/gallery/9332071_q7bw2#624498975_6mRG4-XL-LB

Rebecca's Bridal Shower

Here are two of the portraits we took at Rebecca's bridal shower. We set up a portrait station and included 2 off camera flashes with umbrellas to fill. The hot-shoe flash had a Gary Fong diffuser (they're the best!).

We shot candids all night and the hostess told me that she loved all the pictures and wishes I could go to Cancun to shoot their wedding.

HD Photo Fusion

Here is an example of what we're doing with HD video from the Canon 5D Mark II.

This video was put together for fun and to see what the Mark II can do - I think you'll agree, the colors and video quality is amazing -

Event Photography - July 2009

We just wrapped up a family portrait shoot in California

- I was expecting to shoot a brunch party celebrating an 80th birthday, but when I arrived 10 people were wearing coordinated outfits and they were ready for a family portrait. I shot it outside in a shady section of the back yard.

Had I know it was a formal family portrait, I would have scouted the location, brought an assistant, shading and lighting and charged twice as much.

I was there with 2 pocket wizards and 1 off camera flash - that I ended up not using.

All in all the clients were very happy with all the pictures we shot and printed. Hope to be hearing back from them soon regarding events and referrals...
